2018 Wedding Trends

I was researching wedding trends the other day for a styled shoot, and I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite trends for 2018. Maybe you'll get some inspiration for your own wedding!

1. Potted Plants as decor. Does the thought of all those cut flowers make you cringe, just a little? I love the idea of this wedding trend because guests can then take home a special something from your wedding, AND you have the added bonus of less waste.

2. Unexpected Entertainment. A big trend for 2018 and beyond is really focusing on the experience for guests. Rather than having wedding favors or a traditional DJ, brides and grooms are focusing on unique ways to make their event memorable for guests and also say something special about who they are as people.

3. Vibe Over Palette. Instead of the traditional color palette, couples are instead choosing to theme their wedding around an overall vibe or feel they want to have.

4. Copper. Rose gold accents are going to be a big hit this year. Copper mixes the rustic and the elegant, so you get the best of both worlds.

5. Unique Desserts. The traditional wedding cake will never grow old, but more and more, couples are choosing unique desserts that speak to their individual tastes and preferences.
